⊙ MOTOSHOW2012 ~ You Can Always Count on KTM for Some Good Photos

We don’t cover the off-road sector of motorcycling too often (we’re really trying to put the “asphalt” in the Asphalt & Rubber around here), but KTM makes us wish we broke that vow to the tarmac more often. Sending us these photos of the official Red Bull/KTM Factory Supercross Team practicing at The Ranch in Anza, CA, the Austrian brand certainly seems “ready to race” (oh, brother), but with the lens ofFrank Hoppen at the ready, Red Bull/KTM factory riders Ryan Dungey, Ken Roczen, and Marvin Musquin looked the business as well.

I’ve waxed on before about how KTM really is the standard by which other motorcycle companies should rate their marketing materials, and these photos are no different. Keep in mind that KTM employs a variety of photographers, over varying locations worldwide, yet consistently comes out with stunning well-shot photos, which all have a touch of the KTM style. That’s almost as impressive of a feat as the body of work itself. But enough about that, onto the goodness after the jump.

⊙ MOTOSHOW2012 ~ Benelli Due Release Clarified – End of 2012 & Worldwide

After the news that the Benelli Due 756 would finally be produced and released came out last week, the Italian brand has released a clarification in response to the news that hit the interwebs. Confirming that the Due would indeed become a production model (after making the rounds at motorcycle shows for the better part of the last five years), the Chinese owned Benelli Q.J. released a statement saying that the release date would not be the end of 2011 as some sites had reported, but instead at the end of 2012 (seemingly making this a 2013 model year motorcycle).

Benelli has not outright denied that the news that the Due will hit the Chinese market before it makes its way to Europe, though the Chinese company was quick to say in its statement that ”the current version of the Due will be produced in Italy and exported to China and the emerging global markets (without neglecting the European market).” Cryptically we gather that means that the Due we’ve seen will be a world model, while an updated version is slated to hit the European market at some point in the future (2018 perhaps?).

The release of the clarification from Benelli is an interesting one, as few, if any, major publications were stating that the Benelli Due would be out in 2011…which makes sense there were about 14 days left in the year at that point in the news cycle. However, the clarification that the release would be at the end of the 2012 is an interesting development, as it puts the Benelli Due almost an entire year out from its consumer debut at this point in time.

The fact that Benelli Q.J. is targeting China and emerging economies is no surprise to us, especially given the fact that the company is Chinese-owned and has easy access to these growing and important motorcycle markets. Equally unsurprising is the announcement that Benelli will be updating the Due’s design at a later date for the European market. While the relative obscurity of the machine has helped preserve the freshness of its six-year-old design, a revamping of its look and feature set still seems like a prudent move by the Italian brand.

Helping commemorate its 50th Anniversary of World Championship Grand Prix racing, Yamaha has unveiled special race livery for its factory-backed MotoGP squad, which the team will run at the Assen TT and Laguna Seca Grand Prix. Set to be unveiled Wednesday, June 22nd at the Assen circuit by Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies, the Yamaha YZR-M1 WGP 50th Anniversary Edition motorcycles with their red color schemes are described by the Japanese company as paying “homage to the iconic Yamaha Factory Racing liveries of the past with a modern twist.”

Take that as you will, but the new race livery for the two races is a welcomed detraction from the reminder that the Yamaha squad has been unable to field a title sponsor for the 2011 MotoGP Championship season, despite having the 2010 Rookie of the Year Ben Spies and reigning MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo on-board the squad’s Yamaha YZR-M1 race bikes. Nonetheless, Yamaha has been celebrating its racing heritage with a special 50th Anniversary website, which is well-stocked with images of racing lore for the tuning fork brand.

可彤：陳俊志導演最近出了一本書，《台北爸爸，紐約媽媽》，當我讀到「無家之人」四個字的時候，感觸好深，我和家人的緣分很薄，正因為如此，我會把男友當家人。其他人跟男友吵架可以說我要回家跟爸爸媽媽講，我不行，我就是要吵到完為止，一定要有個答案。談戀愛是我的罩門，容易反應過度，搞得對方壓力很大。像我之前有一個男友，我們明明很愛對方，最後還是分手，我覺得他非娶我不可，可是他根本還沒想到結婚這一步。
